Grant Proposals and Business Plans

  • Green China Design Business Plan
A plan to create a sustainable "green roofing" company in Beijing. Finalist in the GSEC competition. (powerpoint presentation, video presentation)
  • Metaverse Technology (executive summary)
  • Federal IT Services
This proposal was written to win a contract to evaluate and implement a Customs Relationship Management (CRM) software solution at the International Trade Administration.
  • USAF Facilities & Program Management
This proposal requested renewed funding for an existing contract. It involved a lot of work on the look, feel, and navigation. The result was derived from a template I created from scratch. However, much of the content was culled from prior proposals that the client was satisfied with.
  • Refugee Children Grant
The best grant I ever wrote for this agency. This version is abridged and slightly reorganized for easier reading. To navigate I recommend using Microsoft Word's Document Map feature.
  • Vocational Training Grant
This was one of the first grants I wrote. It was also the most successful from an implementation standpoint, as the program has been adopted to help train refugee arrivals state-wide.
  • Serbian Judicial Reform Grant
This was an existing grant I edited on behalf of Chemonics.

Public Relations & Marketing

Technical Writing (mostly software)

  • Sample User Guide (.pdf)
  • Sample Release Notes (html)
  • Installation Splash Page (using Flash projector- this file is an .exe and may be blocked, so better save it to your hard drive first then run it)
  • Administration Guide (PDF document). This document was some 200 plus pages long when I got it. I think it cleaned up nicely, though.
  • Rational RequisitePro-XDE Integration
If this help system does not render properly when viewed online, it may be because your firewall is preventing it from displaying correctly. You can download the help system by saving this zip file to your hard drive and then opening roxi_index.htm in the root directory.
  • ClearQuest-RequisitePro Integration
This is a Help system for an integration wizard I played an integral role in designing. It contains both task-oriented help and GUI reference. To correctly view the system, extract both files from the zip file into a common directory and double click on the CQI.hlp file.
  • Usability Test Session Script
This was a script I wrote to test market our concept for a new integration feature. It has feedback fron internal employees (names changed) and you can generally see the process and direction I took in testing. These sessions were incredibly useful for feature and GUI design. It also assisted us in determining what terminology was the most intuitive.
  • Rational RequisitePro Extensibility Interface Documentation
I maintained this library of COM methods, properties, and constants for developers creating custom RequisitePro interfaces and applications. To correctly view the system, extract both files from the zip file into a common directory and double click on the rpx.hlp file.
  • Integrated Use Case Management Help
This integration document was a precursor to the ReqPro-XDE integration documentation; it described the integration between ReqPro and Rose.
